Constance Falconer
had two etchings (solar print "puckered jellies" and zinc plate print "ethiopian
kaleidoscope") accepted in the Honolulu Printmakers 80th Annual Exhibition
February 20-March 14, 2008. The juror was Laura Berman, Interim Chair of
Printmaking at Kansas City Art Institute. Constance also had two etchings (zinc
plate print "plains and planes" and solar print "puckered jellies") exhibited in
the February Atlanta Printmakers Studio's show at the Sundial Restaurant in the
Westin Hotel, Atlanta - even sold one piece! Constance will give a Solar Plate
Etching Workshop at the Atlanta Printmakers Studio on June 14, 2008. Please call

AAC members Nancy Blum,
Judy Holden Howard, and Joan Christopher-Quillen are featured in
an exhibit opening April 26 at the Art Center of the Blue Ridge Mountains Arts
Association in Blue Ridge, GA. Entitled “Adventure in Color and Line,” the
exhibit showcases a diverse collection of their paintings in oil, pastel, and
watercolor and continues through May 21. An opening reception is scheduled from
3 to 6:00 PM on April 26.
Helen DeRamus’ work
was exhibited in the Bobbe Gillis Gallery 11th Anniversary show in February. One
of her paintings is in the Women’s Caucus for Art regional juried exhibit titled
“Earth: A Microcosm,” at the Ferst Center for the Arts at Georgia Tech during
the month of March.
Pat Fiorello has
earned Signature Membership in the Georgia Watercolor Society. Her painting
Hudson Valley Barn was one of 74 paintings selected out of 490 submitted to the
2008 Georgia Watercolor Society National Exhibition by artists from across the
country. The show runs April 5 through May 26 at the Quinlan Visual Arts Center
in Gainesville.
Marjorie Foster has a painting accepted in the Art League of Hilton Head.
The painting is "Georgia Queen, Riverboat, Savannah, GA," which will be in the
2008 National Juried Exhibition, on May 2-25. Marjorie Foster also has a solo
exhibit of a new series of oil paintings entitled "Yesterday," March 6-April 3,
2008 at the Episcopal Church of the Atonement, 4945 High Point Rd. NE, Atlanta,
GA 30342.
Clyde Draughon had
his painting, “Crabs 5,” juried into the Georgia Watercolor 2008 National Show.
His painting, “San Francisco Skyline 4,” was juried into the Dunwoody Fine Art
Center 2008 Regional Show.
Lisa Moore will have a solo show at the Episcopal Church of the Atonement
in April with the reception April 20th from 4 – 6 PM. All are invited.
Sherry Needle won Best of Show at the Marietta Cobb Museum of Art. The
exhibit, titled “Reflections,” celebrates Georgia Women Artists and will be on
display through March 15.
Carole Poole will showcase her watercolors in a solo exhibition in the
Art Gallery at Chateau Elan in Braselton, Georgia March 1 through April 30. The
gallery is located in the Chateau Elan Winery and is open daily from 10:00 AM -
9:00 PM.
Jan Ross was awarded "Signature Membership" in both the Missouri
Watercolor Society and the Western Colorado Watercolor Society. Her work was
accepted in the Western Colorado Watercolor Society's 16th National Exhibition,
Mar-4-April 12 and the Watercolor Missouri National Juried Competition, Apr.
6-May 18. Jan’s artwork received an Honorable Mention in the " Arts in Harmony
'08," Elk River MN Arts Alliance National Juried Exhibition, Feb.4-Mar.28;
received an Honorable Mention in the Dunwoody Fine Art Associations' "Sights and
Insights" Southeastern Regional Art Exhibition, Mar. 1-Apr. 11; and won First
Place Awards in the "Art of the Golden Generation", Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art,
Marietta, GA, and "Seasons", Glimpses of His Glory Gallery, Marietta, GA. She
also had two paintings accepted in the ARTstation of Stone Mountain Member
Juried Exhibition and Competition, Jan. 19-Mar. 22. Jan's painting, "Baba,
Afghani Elder" will be featured in a book celebrating art by senior adults and
Cobb's 175th Anniversary that will be published by the Cobb County Board of
Education and Chairmen Sam Olens. Additionally, Jan has had work selected from a
National competition for the cover of Watercolor Studio, the official
Publication of the Missouri Watercolor Society.
